Today Valhalla FD was dispatched along with Hawthorne FD and EMS to 9A in the area of 200 Saw Mill River Road for an MVA with entrapment. Car 2193 arrived on scene and confirmed a person still inside the truck. Enigne 154 and MPPD put the tools to work and extricated the patient. Valhalla units placed were tasked with mitigating the large fluid spill. Booms were placed near drains and speedy dry was used to absorb some of the oil. Units remained on scene to assist with shutting down Route 9A. Valhalla was release shortly after by command. The roadway remained closed for several hours, but reopened in the late in the afternoon.
