The Valhalla Fire Department is excited to announce the delivery of our new Polaris UTV. The unit 6 person cab UTV is equipped with a small pump with a booster reel, a stokes basket, and other hand tools. The UTV has been designated as Mini Attack 1. This unit will assist at scenes that may be in hard to reach areas, such as brush fires or rescues. This piece of equipment was a result of a New York State Grant which was made possible by Senator Pete Harckham. Today, Senator Harckham paid a visit to headquarters to see Mini Attack 1. Ex-Chief Mickey Kohany and Captain Tom Kohany showed Senator Harckham the unit, and even went for a ride. The Valhalla Fire Department would like to thank Senator Harckham and his office for the assistance in securing the state funds to purchase this unit.
