Early this morning the department was dispatched to a report of wires down with a brush fire on Grasslands Road in between Legion Drive and Virginia Road. Crews arrived on scene to find a tree in the roadway. The tree also took down electrical wires which cause some small brush fires. 2481 requested Con Ed electric to shut down power to the section. Once Con Ed arrived and de-energize the lines members extinguished the brush fires. The scene was turned over to Mt. Pleasant Police Department and Con Ed.
