Today we honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We remember the men and women who fought for our freedom. Each year towns and cities across the country, no matter the size, host parades and remembrance ceremonies. In our small town of Valhalla, this has always been a day where the residents come together and pay their respects. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the Village was quiet this morning. Though COVID-19 has made us change our plans this Memorial Day, it shouldn’t change why we remember today.
