Earlier today, the department along with Valhalla Ambulance Corps were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on the Taconic State Parkway at Lakeview Avenue. First arriving units found a two car MVA with one of the vehicles off the roadway into a tree. Members used chainsaws to make their way to the vehicle. Crews from VFD along with Mt. Pleasant Police Department New York were then able to remove the patient from the vehicle. Patients were turned over to VVAC for transport. Vehicle were removed soon after and the parkway was reopened.
