During this morning's rush hour, the Valhalla Fire Department responded with the Elmsford Fire Department to the Sprain Brook Parkway south of Grasslands Rd for a motor vehicle fire. Elmsford Command arrived on scene and found a fully involved car fire in the median. Crews arrived from Valhalla and Elmsford Fire Departments and extinguished the fire with two handlines. Crews remained on scene and conducted overhaul after the fire was extinguished. The vehicle was removed by the tow company and all lanes were reopened soon after.
