Tower Ladder 49 Earns its Stripes as Completion Nears

The department's replacement of Tower Ladder 49 is nearing completion. The truck's graphics were completed this week along with some tool placement. The new TL49 is still up at Garrison Fire & Rescue getting its final touches. FAST Responds to Pleasantville 10-75

Early this morning, the Valhalla FAST was requested to Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department for a working structure fire. Crews from Pleasantville FD attempted an interior attack but were met with heavy fire conditions. All manpower was evacuated from the building. 2021 Starts with a MVA in the Village

Around 2100hrs, the department along with Valhalla Ambulance Corps and Westchester EMS medic were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle into a building at the intersection of Broadway and Cleveland St. Car 2481 arrived on scene to find a head on collision and a vehicle off on the sidewalk. FAST Requested to 2-Alarm Fire in Ardsley

This afternoon, Valhalla FAST was dispatched to Ardsley for a 2-Alarm apartment fire. Upon arrival members took over FAST operations from Fairview Fire Department. Probationary Firefighter Herrera Completes Firefighter 1

The Valhalla Fire Department would like to congratulate Luis Herrera for completing the NYS Firefighter 1 course. This 129 hour course allows members to become interior firefighters. Firefighter Herrera's training was on basic fireground tasks like water operations, ladders, search/rescue, and ultimately extinguishing a fire.
